Frequently asked questions
How do I book my free counselling session?
You can book a session by visiting our Appointment Booking Page or by calling us at 0000. We offer both in-person and virtual sessions for your convenience.
Before beginning your counselling journey with us, we kindly ask that you complete a pre-assessment form and a Clinical Outcomes in Routine Evaluation (CORE) form. These forms help us understand your current situation, needs, and goals. By providing this essential information, we can tailor our sessions to better support your well-being and track progress over time.
The first consultation is free, and is also an opportunity for yourself to ask any questions before you decide to go ahead with your counselling journey with us. During this consultation, our counsellors will do their very best to explain to you about how counselling can help you and your present situation.
Can I book a counselling session for friends and family on their behalf?
If you are concerned about a loved one, we do advise you to encourage them to get the help that they need and you are very welcome to recommend our services to them. However, we will need them to be willing to get in touch with us themselves via phone for a free consultation, so that we can help them in the best possible way that we can.
How will counselling help me?
Counselling is a space where you can speak freely and allow yourself to open up. Counselling can help in putting things into perspective, help you understand your emotions better and guide you to think about possible solutions to your problems.
What does a typical counselling session entail?
We are a counselling service that follows a person-centred approach, which means that our clients are at the heart of our work. We help you to explore your emotions and help you find possible solutions to issues. In your counselling sessions, you are not obliged or pressured to disclose anything you do not want to. Your counsellor will ask questions about your feelings and discuss with you the problems you are experiencing.
What if I am too nervous to talk?
We are here to help you manage such emotions. We understand that it can be difficult at times and clients can sometimes become nervous at the beginning or during sessions. We will always try our best to make you feel at ease.
What happens if I cry or get very upset during sessions?
This is a natural process of your healing journey and please be assured that your counsellor understands this. Your counsellor will give you all the time and space that you need in that moment. Take your time always.
Will I be judged for anything I disclose?
No. Counsellors are trained to be non-judgemental and are trained to view things from their client’s perspective only.
